German car manufacturer, Audi, plans to make a faster version of the R8 supercar model. Named Audi R8 GT, the car is claimed to have performance and handling better than the standard R8.
Using the FSI V10 engine capacity of 5,200 cc which has been modified, the Audi R8 Gt claimed to have power up to 560 horsepower (35 hp faster than the R8 Coupe 5.2 quattro and R8 Spyder 5.2 quattro).

To deliver power to four wheels, the machine is then mated with R-Tronic sequential transmission typical of Audi.

To be more lightweight, body of R8 GT is built by using aluminum and carbon fiber material. The use of material which is known light but strong is seen at the front-rear spoiler, and a few other parts.

“Audi R8 GT is a lightweight product, the fastest and most powerful in the ranks of Audi’s supercar, and has won several global awards,” writes Audi in their official statement.

With a blend of light weight and powerful engine, making the R8 GT could run from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.6 seconds. And if you continue to step on the gas pedal, this two-door car could run up to 199 mph.

The plan, Audi will only make this car in limited numbers, as many as 333 units for the entire world. From hundreds of these units, 90 units of which will be immediately sent to the United States in the near future. For the price, Audi set a USD 196,000.
